The Toy Fair And Cars In The Park.
Well Hello There Travelers And Adventure Seekers!
Cars In The Park!
Now before I jump into this one! Wednesday was a public holiday and I told Bossman "Listen I'm off and I am going to the car show we had in town!" That was all that was needed the rest he understood!
So we don't have a lot of car shows here but when we do I try make a point of going to it. The "Toy Fair and Cars In The Park" have sort of turned into something me and the Buddy have been doing for a couple of years now!
I see no need for it to stop anytime!
Not Part Of It!
Okay so this new and beautifull Ford Kuga isn't exactly part of the car show! It could be!
Heck it looks like one ballin ride! I am loving the look of it! I wish I could show the comparison but most people wont even see it!
But I do like what I see with this one, I wont own one but I'd sure like to drive one!!
It looks slightly dropped doesn't it? Oh and check out those mags!
First Thing Is Habit!
So we have this habbit of getting a cup of bean to cup coffee and savour the taste of that for a little while before we jump away!
Now one thing that was totally different this year is that the coffee shop also got a liking in cars aswell! Now it's not exactly the most sought after cars but for me who likes LEGOS! I can tell you that this tickled my fancy!
The Defender!
Now I'd only buy two of what I actually saw and that would be the Porsche and the Volkswagen Hippy van!
With that said I can't not share these hey! It seems they went a little mad at the Land Rover Factory with those blue bolts they fitted everywhere the eye catches!
The BatMobile!
Now this is definitely something that I would have absolutely cried for back in the day! A Lego BatMobile now if I owned one of those I'd have been the coolest kid on the block by far!
I did own a couple of other batman stuff but they have long been lost over the years! This however would never have gotten lost!
The Vibey-Hippy Van!
Now just the idea of this is damned cool to me!
They even went as far to add the little roof tent thing! Oh and the spare tyre is ripping it! They had another one on the shelf behind it but I didn't seem to get any photos of it! Real stupid but hey! Peace!
Now For The Porsche!
This was ironic actually! Right after the buddy got the news that he got accepted for the job! What job? Well a job where they turn Porsches into off-roading machines!
Now that is something to be jealous of right! It's a little saddening though because he will be moving out of town for that! But a man has got to do what a man has got to do!
Simply Slick!
Everything That's Cool All In One Place!
Oh heck I remember way back in the day! Right after the nappy wearing days! My father always had a fancy for these things! RC planes!
Now I think he never went into it for fear of crashing the planes and losing a bunch of money but that's never the way to look at things! It might have changed the path of his life entirely!
Well I can say that those things are quite big!
Now To What Counts!
Okay so finally the cars! What we came for after all right!
Let's start off with this out of this world adorable Fiat 600! The moment I saw this little red blob I thought heck The Betty would fit so well in one of these!
There is actually a little bit of irony behind this!
The Owner.
Now the irony of it all comes in here! The Betty's surname is Hugo and well as you can see the owner of the car is also Hugo. Either or surname or name it makes no difference!
Just think of what the odds are and I thought she'd fit in it before I even saw the current owner of it!
That was damn cool!
Which Is Why!
And that is why we thought hey! Getting a photo with this is absolutely a must! A MUST!
So I told The Betty go and stand there by your car so that I can get that photo!
A bonus is the "Folla" in the background!
The Tales Of My Old Man!
Now I realized when I was walking through the cars that I am familiar with most of the names and the only reason for that is because of my Grandfather! Let's take this International truck for example! I know for a fact that he has mentioned these to me more times than I can count and I always had a truck truck in my head. Not a pickup!
It gave me goosebumps to think that my old man is actually a great big part of my life! A great big part that I will deeply and dearly miss one day!
Okay but anyways! This is the first truck of a towing company still alive in our little town of Bloemfontein! Dup's towing! Now can you believe this! His first truck is still in an almost perfect condition!
Even more so for the type of work it did!

I'm not going to overfill this post with too much! Instead these last few I'll just share for the enjoyment! But do know that I took them because I thought they looked wicked!
Especially this fancy 2jz here in the front!

Fancy A Bentley!
This is weak! One of my all time favourites and I managed to get a blurry one!
This of-course is in a class of its own!
They never cease to dissapoint! It's the grill I like so much!
Who knows what this is? Now this is a race ready car built like this from the German factory itself! Can you believe they built stuff like this before the emissions crap came into law!
No one gave two cents about anything other than power... traction... and driving pleasure!
Now these! We've always had one in the family for as long as I can remember! They just don't die!
Of-course I don't really need a reason for this one now do I!
