A Sudden Visit to My Former School: The Beautiful Changes I Have Noticed in It, the Memories of My School Life, and Oh, How Green the Surrounding Was

What I remember in primary school aside from the fun and exciting memories I had was the beautiful and huge green field of our school, the tall trees and the different medicinal plants located at the back of our classroom, and those flowers that served as decorations to make our school look more homey and clean. Not just that, but also those vegetables that were planted in there by different students, they even put a tag on every plant, giving information about what they are and where to use them. I remember all those because I am one of the students that was assigned to clean our classroom, including the backyard, with other students. You know, as one of the cleaners, lol.

It's all coming back to me, the memories of my childhood are flowing nonstop to me, and I can't help but pat myself for coming this far. I'm very far now from the small Ruffa, who is immature and knows nothing but to play and play (≧▽≦). And after visiting our elementary school, seeing it again made me remember all the good and bad experiences and even the fun and exciting moment of my life as a student. This school has been part of my student life for years, and seeing how it improves made me really proud because this is where I came from.

I got the chance to visit my old school with my oldies and Mama during the last election. I was with my mama Ading, Mommy F, and Mommy D at that time. Because this elementary school is not far from our home, we just decided to walk. Even during the whole duration of my school life here, I just used to walk because it was not really that far from home. And my allowance for the day is really just for my snacks, so I can't afford to ride in a vehicle to get here. And you know, food was life back then and even today, ╮(^▽^)╭, lol, so there's no way that I'll waste my money on that, lol.

Anyway, even before, our school was already filled with lots of trees. And I like it because of that. I remember we used to hang out under some of those trees after playing during our recess and lunch time, that's one of those peaceful moments I had during my school days. We are all full of sweat after running around and playing around. That's why when we get home, we'll receive a long nagging from the oldies because aside from sweat, we are also full of dirt, especially our uniform. Hahaha, the white blouse became a color of dirt because of that.

So here's the entrance of the school, it has a lot of entrance and exit gates, actually. They already renovated this part and painted it brightly like this, which I think is beautiful. I also remember that some of those exist as a way to go outside just to buy some junk foods in a small store at the back of our school. I used to do this with a classmate, lol. And you know what? The owner of that mini store where we buy those junk foods is actually a teacher at that school. That's why if he notices kids who cut class and buy at his store, he will give those kids a long nagging. I mean, why put it there (≧▽≦)? Now it has become a reason why kids love to go outside, lol. That store is gone now, btw.

And here's our little playground, we have that slide, and that's been our favorite before. There's benches too where you can sit if you get tired, or you can just sit on the green grass if it's not wet. And can you see those white flowers? I think that's "Sampaguita." I remember we have that surrounded the whole place together with "Santan Flowers." We love to sip the juices out of those Santans, and after that, we'll make a beautiful tiara or a crown made by Santan Flowers. That flower has really a lot of use, and it's amazing. See, that's just a few of my happy moments at this school. I had a lot, and seriously, my years spent at this school are ond of "the best."

And here's more! A lot has really changed, but one thing that never changed at this school was those beautiful green fields. It is still as lively as ever. I'm just glad that they maintained this and made it even more green and beautiful. Aside from that, there is that newly built shade for a student. If it's too hot and if ever it is raining, they can just take cover here. We didn't have this before, so they are lucky to have it now.

Our school already has this waiting shed, even before, and yes, we used to hang out in there too. But my, I love their new design, it's so colorful, I'll be tempted to just stay there if it's me. During our time, they only had two boring colors, and more of them are already fading away. But still, the memories we had during those times are still superb, so it doesn't matter. Anyho, the kids will surely love this too, especially those kids who still cry because their parents left them during class time. It's 11/10 for me for the bench designs and color, as in everything.

And tadaaaaaan! Look at those pretty plants and vegetables. They really put more effort into their garden now. Although we also do this during our time, but not to this extent though, like making it more colorful, Whoever is managing this, I love their creativity (人 •͈ᴗ•͈). Putting into good use what seems like useless stuff and making it into something cute and colorful, that's just amazing └|∵|┐♪.

Overall, I enjoyed this unplanned visit to my former school. To be honest, at that time, I didn't have a plan to vote because I didn't even know who to vote for, but then the oldies forced me, so I had no choice but to go. My plan is that I will just accompany them, but I will not cast a vote because I thought there were already a lot of people inside. But then, when I check my assigned precinct, there's no one in there, and it's not even starting yet. So even if it's not in that plan, I still vote, and that's how I ended up in my old school, giving me time to reminisce about the past and enjoy the beauty of my former school.

It's good to revisit the past and reminisce on how things played out for us, the fun, the jokes and love shared then. I love how you could go back memory lane of how you were a student and how the school has changed today.
I love the idea of adding tags to plant for easy identification and knowing which works for something. I guess the idea is from students right?

Maybe a baby step is all what ypu need, 3ven in slow pace at least there are changes and I'm sure that changes will influence other teacher 5oo and maybe they can also help improve it.

Yes, teachers are also eager to improve the school. it's just that we need financial assistance since the School's budget isn't enough 🥹. But still, I'll do my best. and i agree that baby step is better than no progress at all

Didn't your school experience look haunted? I mean, your school seems like it's been lively since then.

What a nostalgic trip down memory lane! It's amazing to see how much schools have evolved over the years. The changes may be physical, but the memories and the essence of the place remain timeless. Thanks for sharing your journey back to where it all began, madam Ruff! I love the greens and miss my elementary and high school days too hehe.
